Meet Kara of 'Olive Jane'

"I'm an artist/designer and mother to 4 fabulous boys! I have a BFA in Visual Arts with an emphasis in Intaglio and a passion for sewing and fibers. I'm originally from New Brunswick, Canada but now reside in Utah! My men in my life (husband included) steal my heart and they are the center of my world.
For years my sisters have been encouraging me to start up a business making quilts and using my creative abilities. I racked my brain trying to come up with ideas for my business name, wanting desperately to pay homage to my sisters in the title somehow. As children Santa Claus always put jars of olives in our stockings, just for the girls (I don't think my brothers liked olives as much). It was always such a treat for us girls...and thus "olive" was chosen, my middle name is Jane, and there you have it....Olive Jane!"

I was so excited to wake up to my jam packed inbox.

You guys are too kind, or giveaway crazy! I can't resist a good giveaway. If you follow my blog long enough you'll realize my weakness for giving things away. Be My Valentine!

I know, I've been reminded, Valentines day is NEXT month. But I just can't help it!

 It's only January 14th and the house looks like it has been visited by a little, chubby, half naked baby carrying a bow and arrow. It must be the romantic in me.

 

I blame it on my Dad, who showed up every Valentines Day with something sweet for the girls. One year it was a heart-shaped cake, and the next, a sweet little teacup filled with fresh flowers. What ever it was it always made me feel loved.

So in Valentine tradition, i want to give something to you! A sweet little Andalucia pendant and a Fat Quarter Bundle of some of my favorite prints.
