My latest Granddaughter!!

My son, Steven and my daughter in law, Jamie named their new baby SUNNY ! !    She is so snuggly and soft. . .

Steven's father, my 1st husband, who died of pancreatic cancer, used to call him SUNNY. Then he would say,"Do you know why I call you Sunny?" and Steven would say, "Why?" Then his Dad would say, "Because you are so bright."  We must have heard that cute little private joke between the two of them hundreds of times throughout Steven's growing up years.  So when they decided to name her Sunny we were all so pleased.  It brought back many memories!

 

Isn't it funny how you never seem to stop mourning the loss of someone that you love.  It is always there in the back of your mind and in the middle of all of your emotions.  13 years later my family and I remember so much.  Our feelings are still tender.   Steven and his father were very close.  For the last  three months of his life, Steven was not more than 10 feet away from his bed.  Always there to help him in anyway he could.  Then after his death I had to finish closing down his business and Steven was right there beside me every single step of the way.  I am very grateful for his support and understanding.

 

Just as I am writing this blog my daughter called, coincidently,  and said that she is helping her husband at work and that so many things all around her remind her of her father. . . . . . .

. . . . I am going to change the subject now because this blog is getting too long.  I think I am ready for bed.  This seems like a good stopping place. 

Meanwhile.  I hope all of you had a wonderful Father's Day.

"Gramma" is the Best Name Ever!!

I admit it is so exciting and wonderful to be a new mother, but WOW! 

I love being a Gramma!!  It is the Best!  Such a great time of life. 

All of our grandchildren are so amazing.

Because this is my second marriage we have put two families together:

his 6 kids and my 5 kids.  We have lots of grandkids and lots of fun.

Each little family has their own individual kind of awesomeness.

They are all so unique and terrific. 

I just can't say enough about how incredible they are.

 
 
We just had another little granddaughter, Sunny, and she is so sweet.

Her big sister, Sidney, is showing off.

She just lost her 1st tooth.
