When my daughter called it was such a coincidence because I was writing this blog about my late husband and I had just talked to my other daughter about the same kinds of things. Let me explain:
She was surprised that I was writing and remembering similar things about him also. She remembered the smells, his employees, the little things hanging on the walls, and just the environment of the business place. The two businesses are both so similar. I reminded her about the day after her wedding when he sat out on the patio and cried. It was emotionally hard on him to see his daughter get married.
I remember how loving and good he was to me. The way that his emotions were always so constant and mine were just the opposite, up and down and all over the place. It seems to be the little things that jump out at us along the way when we least expect it. We both had a little melt down just being able to remember him and what he meant to us. Such sweet memories!
A month or so before his passing.
Happy Thoughts!
